Drawing a blank in Innovation & Dan Wieden Titanium Lions, India has got three shortlists in the Glass Lions. Shortlisted agencies include Tgthr along with RB, Leo Burnett & McCann

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has released the first set of 2024 shortlists. It’s a no-show for India in the Innovation Lions and The Dan Wieden Titanium Lions category.

However, India has got three shortlists in the Glass: The Lion for Change category. The shortlisted agencies include Tgthr along with Reckitt Benckiser, Leo Burnett and McCann.

Tgthr and Reckitt Benckiser have jointly entered the work ‘Harpic Loocator #BeFreeToPee’ for Harpic India. Harpic had introduced a first-of-its-kind app: ‘Loocator’ a crowd-sourced app that aids women find, rate & add toilets near them. With this app, women from all walks of life can find accessible toilets near them in just a click.

Leo Burnett’s work ‘Project Farm Equal’ for PepsiCo’s Lay’s is also shortlisted. This project goes beyond simply boosting agricultural yields, and recognises the unique challenges and needs of women in agriculture. It takes a multi-pronged approach to empower them.

The final shortlist from India is for McCann’s Dabba Savings Account, which the agency has entered for ESAF Small Finance Bank. This savings account is dedicated to powering the dreams of Indian women and manages to change the lives of thousands of women by making them a part of the banking system.
