Yogendra Mohan Gupta, Chairman of the Jagran Group, has passed away. According to media reports, Gupta, who had been ill for some time, died in Kanpur.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over Gupta's demise. He tweeted, "I am extremely grieved by the demise of Mr Yogendra Mohan Gupta, Chairman, Dainik Jagran Group. His departure is an irreparable loss to the world of art, literature, and journalism. In this hour of grief, I offer my condolences to his family members. Om, Shanti!
President Ram Nath Kovind also expressed his condolence to the family on Gupta's demise.

"Deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Yogendra Mohan Gupta Ji, Chairman of the Dainik Jagran Group. He made a significant contribution to educational programmes along with the distribution of Hindi Newspapers. My condolences to his family and fans," tweeted the President of India.
Apart from being recognised for propelling the Jagran group to new heights, Gupta also made significant contributions to the development of art and culture in the country. He was the driving factor behind the establishment of Kanpur's Lakshmi Devi Lalit Kala Academy.
