KVS Manian has officially taken over as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Bank, succeeding Shyam Srinivasan, who stepped down after a 14-year tenure.
Manian previously served as the Joint Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank until April 30, 2024, where he played a key role in establishing a strong and profitable franchise across various business segments. He was also instrumental in driving technological advancements within the bank and strengthening its transaction banking capabilities.
Before this, Manian worked in the non-banking financial sector (formerly Kotak Mahindra Finance) and investment banking. He holds an electrical engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) – Varanasi, a postgraduate degree in financial management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and is a qualified Cost and Works Accountant.
