Zee Celebrates 65 Years Of Television In India With #ThankyouTV Campaign

As India celebrates the remarkable 65-year journey of TV, Zee Entertainment has unveiled a #ThankyouTV campaign to honour this iconic medium’s role in shaping lives, bringing families together, and fostering a deep connection between viewers and their screens. The campaign is a poignant film that beautifully portrays the enduring bond between a sofa and a TV screen, symbolising how people naturally gravitate towards comfort while immersing themselves in the storytelling magic of television. 

TV has been a constant companion, evolving alongside society, culture, and technology, and witnessing everything from historic moments and shifting family dynamics to significant societal progress. Through it all, television has remained a powerful medium that unites and connects people. 

Commenting on the campaign, Kartik Mahadev, CMO, Content SBU & Brand Management, Zee, says, "There was a time when families and entire mohallas gathered around a single screen, sharing laughter and stories, igniting a sense of community. It highlights television’s enduring importance in the lives of people and how storytelling, along with generational connections, has evolved—set to a catchy and memorable song.

They have played a pivotal role in inspiring millions, shaping cultures, and bringing hyperlocal communities together. To further champion the Power of TV narrative and celebrate these beloved characters, Zee recently launched ‘Dil-fluencer campaign’, the tongue-in-cheek TVC starring Jackie Shroff. This campaign along with #ThankYouTV come together to beautifully narrate a strong message about TV’s virtues and relevance in the many Bharats today.
