WhatsApp is rolling out the feature of reacting to messages with all emojis available on the messaging app. Presently, WhatsApp allows its users to react with six emojis.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp will bestow its users with the ability to react to messages with any emoji available on the app soon. “We're rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp”, he posted on Facebook. He proceeded to list out few of his favourite emojis in the post.
Users will be able to apply the all emoji reactions by long-pressing the messages, which will open a menu of six most recent emojis sent along with a ‘+’ icon. Users can click on the ‘+’ icon to access rest of the available emojis on WhatsApp to react.
Previously, WhatsApp had rolled out the reaction feature a few months ago but had limited the reactions to mere six emojis. Reacting to messages with all emojis has already been made available on Instagram. In fact, the beta versions of WhatsApp on iOS and Android too had this feature.
The expanded emoji reaction feature will be made available to all WhatsApp users in the coming month.
