Thomson, a French consumer electronics company, notified an investment of INR 200 crore in a washing machine factory in India through its brand licensee, Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL). According to the most recent release, the corporation will build a state-of-the-art plant for semi-automatic washing machines.
Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO, SPPL commented: "With our new investment of Rs 200 crore towards the wash plant and our collaboration with Flipkart, we are confident to strengthen our presence in the category further. We are always very enthused to offer new products with the best of technology to our customers and Thomson has a huge lineup of 25 models that we plan to launch in the rest of the year."
In addition, the company launched new TV and washing machine series for Indian customers, which would be marketed on the online store, Flipkart. On the very note, Marwah stated, "With our new investment of Rs 200 crore towards the wash plant and our collaboration with Flipkart, we are confident to strengthen our presence in the category further. We are always very enthused to offer new products with the best of technology to our customers and Thomson has a huge lineup of 25 models that we plan to launch in the rest of the year."
The Thomson brand has been in operation in India for five years. With the launch of its lineup of smart TVs in 2018, the brand returned to India. Since then, it has grown into numerous industries.
"Thomson will continue its efforts to tap the vast untapped market potential that India presents," the release mentioned.
The brand-new FA series TVs with Realtek CPU, Google TVs with 4K displays, and a brand-new line of semi-automatic washing machines in the 9 kg, 10 kg, 11 kg and 12 kg categories were all introduced by Thomson on Thursday.
