Swiggy appoints Akanksha Jain as its Assistant Vice President of Public Relations and Communications, marking a significant addition to its leadership team. With over 18 years of experience in brand reputation management across India and global markets, Jain is a seasoned expert in strategic communications, crisis management, and thought leadership.
Jain announced her transition in a LinkedIn post, reflecting on her impactful four years at BharatPe, where she helped establish the company as a leading fintech player. “The last four years have been one of the most enterprising, challenging, exciting, and enriching years for me—building awareness for a young brand, becoming the first fintech to invest in a Small Finance Bank, and navigating one of the biggest crises in the startup industry,” she wrote.
During her tenure at BharatPe, she worked closely with key leaders, including Suhail Sameer and Nalin Negi, praising their trust in her ability to execute bold communication strategies. Jain's diverse experience includes leadership roles at MobiKwik and Pine Labs, where she spearheaded PR and content marketing initiatives.
Academically, Jain is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, where she was a gold medalist. She has also enhanced her expertise through executive programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Columbia Business School.
Her appointment at Swiggy underscores the company’s focus on bolstering its communications strategy amid evolving market dynamics.
