Sudhanshu Vats & Kavinder Singh To Lead Pidilite Industries As MD & Joint MD
The Board of Directors at Pidilite Industries has given their approval for the appointment of Sudhanshu Vats as the Managing Director. Additionally, the Board sanctioned the appointment of Kavinder Singh as the Executive Director and Joint Managing Director.
They are scheduled to assume their roles as Managing Director and Joint Managing Director in April 2025, following the conclusion of the current Managing Director Bharat Puri's term.
Commenting on the announcement, M. B. Parekh, executive chairman of Pidilite Industries, said “The appointments of Sudhanshu and Kavinder will reflect the next phase of the Pidilite leadership journey. I look forward to working with the two of them in building the Pidilite of the future”.
Vats presently serves as the Deputy Managing Director of Pidilite Industries. Before joining Pidilite, he held the position of CEO and Managing Director at EPL, previously known as Essel Propack. With a career spanning over two decades, Vats also served as the Group CEO and Managing Director at Viacom 18 for eight years. His professional journey commenced in 1991 as a Management Trainee at Hindustan Lever Limited, where he spent approximately two decades undertaking diverse roles in sales, marketing, and general management leadership.
Singh currently holds the positions of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India (MHRIL). Under his leadership, MHRIL has achieved significant growth, evolving into a billion-dollar market capitalisation company from its initial valuation of around USD 200 million. Singh's extensive experience in the consumer goods sector includes roles at Asian Paints, ITC and Pidilite Industries.
