Nivea’s Ajay Simha Moves On

After working for Nivea for one year and eight months, Ajay Simha has resigned as marketing director. From 2010 to 2015, he held varied positions of responsibility while working for the same organisation. Simha updated his LinkedIn page with the same information.

He took to Linkedin and wrote, “Many different assignments, 2 countries of residence, innumerable learnings, tons of fun and interactions with so many colleagues from different cultures, many of them friends for life now. While key business and brand KPIs moved north east consistently over these years, what essentially remains for long after, are those fleeting moments where we had tremendous success, some hard falls, challenges that stretched us, opportunities that excited us and conversations and activities that were sheer joy and fun.”

He was in charge of overseeing all aspects of management at Nivea, including market share delivery, household penetration, brand funnel improvement, master brand health and equity, and the development and scale-up of innovations. Simha was also in charge of handling subcategories including PR, digital marketing, media, activations, and communications.

The executive has more than 11 years of diversified experience working for premier global consumer brands in the Middle East and North Africa areas. He is a senior marketing and brand strategy expert.

The areas of expertise he offers include full P&L management for categories and portfolios, brand strategy, brand activation and launch, innovations and new product development (NPD), and digital marketing.

Simha also spent more than five years in the UAE as a regional marketing manager for Beiersdorf, the Nivea brand's parent firm. Simha has also worked for organisations including Hindustan Unilever, HP, and ABB.
