HT Media Appoints Tiktok's Sameer Singh As Group CEO

HT Media has appointed TikTok's Sameer Singh as Group CEO, as per the company's exchange filing. Singh will take over from Praveen Someshwar, who resigned from the position of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, with effect from February 28.

Singh, who led TikTok North America as the head of ad sales, recently has stepped down from his position. Singh resigned from TikTok days before the ban on the platform in US comes into effect on 19 January.

Singh joined ByteDance in 2019 as the head, global business solutions, APAC. Prior to his role at TikTok, Singh served as GroupM's South Asia CEO. In the past, he has worked with Google, MullenLowe Lintas Group and Procter & Gamble.
