Shilpa Shetty Kundra embarks on a new journey in the kid’s fashion segment with her latest venture, Zip Zap Zoop. Partnering up with Ashmika Sadh, the brand is a new-age clothing line for kids and teenagers aiming to redefine the industry landscape combining both Shilpa’s many strengths as an artist, a fashion icon, and most importantly a mother and Ashmika’s knack for entrepreneurship and industry expertise.
Shilpa Shetty aims to push the boundaries and redefine the kid’s clothing industry with this new venture. ”I have always wanted to understand the manufacturing process, whether the dyes are chemical free, the fabric is azo-free, friendly for kids as well environmentally sustainable," she says.
Sadh, on the other hand, assures a 100 per cent transparent brand, with 100 per cent quality control over the process of production. "Everything is ethically sourced, because we don’t allow any compromises for the children," she mentions.
She further adds, “We have introduced some special kinds of fabrics in our line of clothing which are extremely soft, comfortable & hypoallergenic, suitable for children who have sensitive skin allergies. As we move forward, we will share more about our processes.”
Along with bringing about a positive change in the emerging kid’s fashion industry, Zip Zap Zoop is aware of shouldering its responsibility socially and environmentally. To date, 80 per cent of the collection comprises sustainable fabrics like organic cotton and recycled polyester which have a lower environmental footprint and less wastage.
