Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care has posted an operating revenue of Rs 1,133 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2023. The profit after tax for the quarter was Rs 229 crore, up 10 per cent versus a year ago. The profit growth is led by product price mix, productivity and moderating cost inflation versus the base period, the company noted in its filing.
Total expenses of the company for Q2 FY'24 stood at Rs 840 crore, which was close to a 3 per cent decline as compared to the same period last year. The total income of the company was Rs 1,149 crore for this quarter.
The company spent Rs 127 crore on advertising for the December quarter of FY’24, which is approximately a 14 per cent surge as compared to the same period last year. In the December quarter of last year, it spent around Rs 111 crore on advertising.
However, it saw a 16 per cent decline in ad spends this quarter as compared to the September quarter of FY’24 when it had spent around Rs 153 crore for advertising and sales promotion.
