Participants Share Their Biggest Takeaways From Goafest 2023

Goafest 2023, South Asia's most prestigious advertising, media, and marketing festival, made a triumphant comeback to celebrate the brilliance and examine the future of creativity as it celebrated its 16th year. Goafest is in its second year of collaborating with The ABBY Awards with The One Show.

The event featured numerous spectacular performances, Knowledge Seminars, and Conclaves by industry leaders and creative minds competing for the ABBY One Show Awards.

Following the grand return of Goafest 2023, we asked participants about their best takeaway from the festival wherein the industry experts offered their thoughts.

Sam Balsara, Chairman, Madison World shared, “The sessions were fantastic. What I was particularly fascinated with was Dheeraj Sinha's comment on how they're going about hiring at Leo Burnett. That was refreshing. Also with an advertiser no less than Hemant Malik of ITC saying that this sort of 'short-termism' is now becoming a reality, maybe it's time for us to rethink brand love."

“This was our first time at Goafest and it turned out to be as promised which is the largest conglomeration of marketers and advertisers from across India. While there are a lot of fun elements to what Goafest is all about, the opportunity to get so many relevant people for us which is a new platform under one roof, and the ability to showcase what we have to offer and to understand from them has been a great experience. We also did a product launch at Goafest 2023 and it went well as we were talking to the most relevant people. It’s been a very positive experience and we really look forward to Goafest next year as well”, expressed Maanav Mohan, Director of Sales, Convosight.

Rohit Ohri, Chairman & CEO, FCB Group India conveyed the best takeaway stating, "The data-driven marketing session at Goafest 23 had some great insights on getting first-party data in a cookieless world. Another interesting point was on how to get the data of two companies to talk to each other because the context is what makes it truly valuable. Also, I absolutely loved the stand-up comic Aiyyo Shraddha and her insightful pun 'hum Al ko bAl bana denge'."

Neena Dasgupta, Founder & CEO, Zirca Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd said, “Goafest 2023 is far more organised this year. I like the way it is set up. Some of the sessions are really fantastic and what I love is the fun element with Advertising Rocks.”

While Goafest 2023 brought some of the key moments for all the participants, panellists and speakers this year, it is indeed a complete festival of creativity with insightful sessions and seminars to remember.
