The internet has taken notice of a recent advertising partnership between grocery delivery service Blinkit and its parent firm Zomato after the two companies repurposed a famous movie line on billboards. Netflix has now joined the online brand teasing.
The dialogue from the 2002 movie "Maa Tujhhe Salaam" is featured in two billboards, one for Zomato and the other for Blinkit, but with a twist.
The Blinkit grocery delivery service's yellow billboard's slogan states this- “Doodh mangoge, doodh denge.”
The tagline on Zomato's billboard promises "Kheer mangoge, kheer denge."
On Tuesday, Netflix added its own slant to the conversation. A red billboard next to the Zomato and Blinkit billboards reads, "Friday mangoge, Wednesday denge." Netflix India tweeted, "It's a great day to go out and look at billboards.”
There was more fun commentary from Blinkit and Zomato in response to Netflix.
Blinkit commented, "Binge watch karoge, Popcorn hum la denge."
After all, it is a "Wednesday," Zomato reminded Netflix.
There are more than 30 Indian cities where Blinkit is active. Zomato acquired Blinkit in June 2022.
