Leadership Changes In INMA Committee

The International News Media Association (INMA) recently confirmed 11 new executives to its governing Board of Directors for terms taking effect June 1. This was decided during its annual meeting this week.  

Stephen Dunbar-Johnson, President, International, of The New York Times Company, was elected as Second Vice President of the Board’s Executive Committee. 

Executives elected to new Board terms or recently appointed to the Board are: 

- Alexandra Beverfjord, Editor-in-Chief and CEO, Dagbladet (Aller Media), Norway 

- P.J. Browning, President Newspaper Division, Evening Post Publishing, United States 

- Lotta Edling, Editorial Director, Bonnier News, Sweden 

- Chris Janz, Chief Digital and Publishing Officer, Nine, Australia 

- Mapula Nkosi, Editor-in-Chief, Daily Sun (Media 24), South Africa 

- Martha Ortiz, Chief Editor, El Colombiano, Colombia 

- Sivakumar Sundaram, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Bennett Coleman & Company Ltd. (BCCL), India 

- Siv Juvik Tveitnes, Executive Vice President of News Media, Schibsted, Norway 

- Gert Ysebaert, CEO, Mediahuis, Belgium

 Talking of the Indian media leaders at this international stage, Pawan Agarwal, Deputy Managing Director, Dainik Bhaskar, and President, INMA South Asia Board continues to be on the international board, along with Sanjay Gupta, Editor In Chief & CEO, Jagran Prakashan.  

Additionally, D.D. Purkayastha, formerly Managing Director and CEO, ABP, India, will soon depart the Board upon his terms’ expirations and Sivakumar Sundaram, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Bennett Coleman & Company (BCCL), India, will be in the next in line to take over.
