Anurag Bedi steps down as Chief Business Officer at Zee Music Company

Anurag Bedi has stepped down as the Chief Business Officer at Zee Music Company after a stint of over 17 years with the company.

Bedi was appointed Chief Business Officer in October 2020.

He joined Zee as Deputy Vice President – Ad Sales in February 2007. Bedi was Senior Vice President and Business Head – Niche Channels for more than seven years.

He was later EVP and Business Head for Zee Music Company for six years.

Prior to Zee, Bedi was with Star India.

 

Former Pickrr manager Kunal Bariwal to Lead Product at CaptainBiz

Fintech-SaaS platform for MSMEs, CaptainBiz has appointed Kunal Bariwal to Lead Product. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati and Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, Bariwal brings a wealth of experience in driving successful product and growth initiatives across diverse domains, including fintech, ecommerce, logistics, and B2B software.

At Pickrr (acquired by ShipRocket), Bariwal led multiple initiatives to improve delivery success rates and enhance buyer communication tools, thereby increasing merchants' visibility and gross merchant value (GMV) realisation. In his new role at CaptainBiz, Bariwal will lead product management in transforming CaptainBiz's invoicing, inventory, and tax filing products into a comprehensive platform offering a wide range of essential services for MSMEs to run their business.

Bariwal’s vision aligns with CaptainBiz's vision to simplify business operations, ensuring they have the tools to thrive in a competitive market. On his appointment, Bariwal says, “I am excited to join the CaptainBiz team, dedicated to empowering the MSMEs ecosystem in India. Adobe appoints Swati Rustagi as Vice President, Employee Experience India

Adobe has named Swati Rustagi as Vice President, Employee Experience India. In this role, Rustagi will lead the India EX team to drive people strategy, reporting to Gloria Chen, Chief People Officer and Executive Vice President, Employee Experience at Adobe. Rustagi will be part of the Adobe India leadership team focused on the success and next phase of growth for Adobe’s business in India.

Over the past two decades, Rustagi has held diverse leadership positions in both Indian and global markets, significantly influencing career and talent growth, organisational structure, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She has worked across multiple sectors, including consumer goods, healthcare, financial services and ecommerce, with notable roles at organisations such as Amazon, Max Health Care, Johnson & Johnson, Merrill Lynch and Hindustan Unilever. She joined Adobe from Paytm, where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Quotient Ventures elevates Adarsh Atal to Group Chief Creative Officer

Quotient Ventures (Tilt Brand Solutions and Vector Brand Solutions) has elevated Adarsh Atal to the role of Group Chief Creative Officer. He was previously the Chief Creative Officer at Tilt Brand Solutions.

Atal has been with Tilt almost since its launch and was responsible for some of Tilt’s best work across Dream11, Myntra, Livspace, Licious, Ultratech, Instagram, Swiggy, PhonePe, Blinkit, Shopsy, Kohler, Groww and many more.

With this, Atal now joins Joseph George, Group Chairman & CEO, Hari Krishnan, Group Chief Business Officer, Michelle Suradkar, Group Chief Operating Officer and Gulshan Singh, Group Chief Strategy Officer in the Group’s new Management Team.

Ceat ropes in Vishal Pawar as Senior VP– Global Sales and Supply Chain Management

Multinational tyre manufacturing company Ceat has appointed Vishal Pawar as Senior VP– Global Sales and Supply Chain Management. Saurav Mukherjee, who led Ceat as Senior VP – Global Sales has resigned.

Pawar began his career at TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited). Then, he moved to Ceat and went on to work at Garware Technical Fibres.

Previously, as the senior product manager at Ceat, he was responsible for product and brand management functions for tractors, car and utility vehicles, motorcycles, scooter tyres and the overall brand through public relations and media planning etc.

Mukherjee began his career in the FMCG industry and went on to work across Godrej Consumer Products, Nokia India, Vodafone East and Kohler Co.

As the Director Sales - Nokia - organised retail, Nokia Accessories, HCL account, he looked into organised retail (modern trade), Nokia Gear business and HCL account (North and East device business).

 

Zee Entertainment gives charge of music business to CBO Umesh Bansal

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises has assigned additional charge of the music business to Umesh Bansal. This is in addition to his current role as the Chief Business Officer of the Movies business. Bansal will continue to report into the MD & CEO, Punit Goenka.

The decision is in line with the resource optimization approach of the company and aims to enhance the synergistic capabilities of the movies and music business to drive the growth of the company. Anurag Bedi who has led the music business so far, will be assigned new and challenging responsibilities.

The movie business continues to play a strategic part in the company’s portfolio, while the music business aims to fortify its stronghold in the market and further enhance its monetisation avenues through the prism of profitability. The company aims to derive the synergistic benefits between the businesses to enhance the profitability levels, in line with its strategic priorities centered on frugality, optimisation and a sharp focus on quality content.
