Acko Insurance elevates Animesh Das as CEO; Sanjeev Srinivasan joins the board

Acko has elevated Sanjeev Srinivasan, currently the CEO of Acko Insurance, to a Board role. Meanwhile, Animesh Das, who is currently serving as the chief underwriting officer will succeed him as the chief executive officer of Acko General Insurance, subject to regulatory approval. 

Under Srinivasan's leadership, the company witnessed rapid growth, with gross written premium (GWP) doubling in the last two years and the company successfully introduced its health, life and travel Insurance portfolios. Acko has now set itself ambitious goals for the upcoming year, eyeing a GWP of nearly 3000 crore.

Speaking about the strategic move, Varun Dua, CEO, Acko technologies, the parent company of Acko General Insurance, says, “Sanjeev’s wealth of experience contributed to a lot of firsts for ACKO and has helped in rapidly building and scaling the company. I’m confident that in his Board role, he will continue mentoring the team and help us march toward our collective vision and goal.”

Talking further about the appointment of Animesh, Dua adds, “Animesh has been a catalyst in the overall ACKO’s growth story. Anuj Bansal gets new marketing role at ITC

ITC Foods has elevated Anuj Bansal to the role of head of marketing- chocolates, confectionery, coffee and new business. He confirmed the news of his new role on his LinkedIn profile.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Marketing - Chocolates, Confectionery, Coffee & New Businesses at ITC Foods, Bangalore”, his LinkedIn post said.

Bansal has been associated with ITC for over 15 years now. He joined the company in June 2008 as a marketing management trainee. He has held several leadership roles at the company since then.

In his previous stints, Bansal has worked with Aditya Birla Group, The Coco-Cola Company, EY, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), among others.
