Dream11's Latest Campaign Captures The Spirit of Cricket Rivalry With A Twist

Dream11 introduced its advertising campaign for the cricket season, ‘Team Se Bada Kuch Nahi’. Featuring 11 cricketers and 10 celebrities, the ad films present a humorous take on the notion of sports rivalry between teams. The campaign cleverly depicts the shift from collective unity seen in Team India cricket matches to the individual team loyalties expected during the Indian Premier League.

Commenting on the campaign, Vikrant Mudaliar, Chief Marketing Officer, Dream Sports said, “Team Se Bada Kuch Nahi' embodies the essence of sportsmanship, camaraderie and banter that defines cricket for Indian cricket fans. The campaign also underscores how sports in India, today represents a convergence of entertainment across various mediums: television, digital, films and music. Pairing legacy cricketers like Mohinder Amarnath and Krishnamachari Srikkanth with contemporary players like Sanju Samson and Rahul Chahar not only pays homage to our cricketing heritage but also showcases the sport's ongoing evolution. The duo of Suniel Shetty and KL Rahul celebrates the bridging worlds of cricket and cinema both on and off the field. Above all, the films are true to what our brand stands for — healthy competition, the spirit of sportsmanship and passion for the game.” 

The campaign showcases Dream11’s brand ambassadors which include cricketers such as Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Rahul Chahar and R. Ashwin, engaging in lively conversations and witty exchanges. Joining the Dream11 campaign for the first time are brand ambassadors KL Rahul and Sanju Samson. Alongside them, actors like Suniel Shetty, Preity Zinta, Samantha Prabhu and Supriya Pathak, musicians Daler Mehndi and Baba Sehgal and digital/content creators Viraj Ghelani and Danish Sait also contribute to the campaign. Moreover, Indian cricket legends Mohinder Amarnath and Krishnamachari Srikkanth add their humour and playful interactions to the mix.

As an extension of the brand’s marketing efforts, Dream11 partnered with actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Varun Dhawan to introduce the Dream Sale. This initiative presents an opportunity for 11 lucky participants in mega contests to win prizes during each of the initial five matches of IPL 2024. This collaboration marks the inaugural on-screen venture between the two actors. 

The campaign was inaugurated with a setup film debut on Dream11’s YouTube channel, followed by the release of a series of eight ad films slated to be broadcast throughout the season on Star Sports, Jio Cinema and other digital platforms. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the campaign film was conceptualised by Tilt Brand Solutions. Dream11 assumes the role of Principal Sponsor for four IPL teams this season, including Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Additionally, Dream11 serves as an Official Partner for eight teams participating in the Indian Premier League this year.
