Kaya's group CEO Rajiv Nair resigns
The group chief executive officer of Kaya, Rajiv Nair, has left his role. Nair indicated in his resignation letter that he was leaving to pursue his professional aspirations and personal interests.
Leading the India business included overseeing the P&L, strategic leadership, business operations and growth, customer experience, marketing, business development, new product development, service innovation, business expansion, and digital transformation of the company. Nair held this position as Group CEO.
Nair started his work at Shoppers Stop, where he performed a variety of jobs. He was the CEO of Celio in addition to being the business head for general merchandise and apparel at Hyoercity Retail India.
As Celio's CEO, his role was to develop and grow Celio in India. I foresaw the transition of the brand from a JV between Celio France and the Future Group into a majority ownership by the French company. He aimed to take Celio to a leading position among the global menswear brands in the country.
Former Hershey exec Sarosh Shetty to be interim CEO - ICH, Piramal Pharma; Nitish Bajaj resigns
Nitish Bajaj of Piramal Pharma has resigned to move to a new role outside the company. Bajaj oversaw India Consumer Healthcare as its chief executive officer. His last day of employment will be November 14, 2024. Following Bajaj's resignation, Sarosh Shetty has been named the acting CEO of the India Consumer Healthcare division.
Shetty has led multinational consumer-focused companies for 27 years, including Hershey, Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Whirlpool, and Colgate Palmolive. This covers leadership positions in marketing and business, both domestically and internationally.
Business strategy development, marketing planning, brand creation, process transformation, innovation strategy, commercial initiatives, and organisational leadership are among the areas in which Shetty specialises. He has successfully scaled up new businesses and delivered competitive share gain across established categories.
In recent years, Shetty has worked as an independent consultant, driving business strategy and growth for various consumer-focused businesses. In his last corporate role, he was in a global leadership role as the Director for Strategic Growth and Innovations for international markets at The Hershey Company.
Sarosh holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management; and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Pune.
