Ad Veteran Fali Vakeel Passes Away
Ad veteran, Fali Vakeel, the former Vice Chairman of Lowe Lintas has passed away.
Vakeel assumed the role of Chairman at the agency in 2011. Prior to his tenure at Lowe Lintas, he gained invaluable experience working at JWT in London and at McCann.
Raised in Mumbai, Vakeel initially pursued studies in English and Psychology before transitioning to Accountancy. However, his true passion for advertising emerged during his tenure at JWT London, where he spent eight years honing his craft.
After eight years, he returned to India back in the early 80s.
Colleagues and agency CEO Joseph George fondly referred to him as the ‘Last of the Mad Men in Indian advertising.’
