Absolute Sports Acquires DeltiasGaming.com For $900K
With the acquisition, Absolute Sports aims to reach over 5 million US gaming enthusiasts, strengthening its position as a leading voice in gaming
Absolute Sports, a Nazara Technologies subsidiary and the parent company of Sportskeeda.com, ProFootballNetwork.com and SoapCentral.com agreed to acquire the assets of DeltiasGaming.com for $900K (Rs 7.5 crore). The all-cash deal, subject to closing conditions, is expected to be finalised within 45 days.
DeltiasGaming.com reported revenues of $575K (Rs 4.8 crore) for the 12 months ending June 2024. Absolute Sports will fund the transaction using its cash reserves.
With this acquisition, Absolute Sports aims to strengthen its presence in the gaming and esports media publishing sector in the US, building on its flagship brand, Sportskeeda.com. The company plans to leverage Deltia's Gaming's user base of nearly 1.5 million monthly readers and its strong brand equity to establish itself as a leading voice in the gaming media space. Additionally, the acquisition provides access to a large audience on YouTube and the popular gaming streaming network Twitch under Deltia's Gaming brand.
