Anita Nayyar, COO – Media, Branding & Communication, Patanjali Ayurved has called it a day. She had joined the FMCG major in 2021.
Confirming the development, and talking about her experiences at Patanjali in an exclusive conversation with BW Marketing World, Nayyar reminisces, “Any experience in an organisation like Patanjali will always be a huge learning. I received lessons on how they rose to become a giant FMCG in such a short span of time, customer loyalty through the great combination of the art of yoga and the science of Ayurveda and scientific research across product categories breaking the general myth of no evidence through a huge research centre in PRI.”
She goes on, “I also learnt how the acquisition of a company in the red was turned around to one of the most profitable ventures through right product combinations, cost efficient and effective wellness proposition which is a huge hit, traditional education through Gurukulam keeping the Indian heritage alive, and providing affordable products and well researched ayurvedic medicines for the masses.”
And above all, she brings out that she gained an understanding on a very different style of functioning with complete control over everything. “Working directly with Swami Ramdev and Acharyaji has indeed been very insightful. It exemplifies multitasking to the hilt”, she mentions.
Her stay at Patanjali which was close to three years, was preceded by a stint at Zee5 which lasted for a little less than a year. At Zee5, she held the position of Head - Customer Strategy & Relationships.
Prior to that, Nayyar was CEO, India and South East Asia at Havas Media Group – she dedicated 13 years of her career to the organisation. Nayyar has also held the designation of Executive Director at Starcom.
Across her career, Nayyar has also worked with organisations such as Ogilvy, Lintas-Initiative Media, Mediacom and Mudra.
Nayyar remain tight-lipped about her next move.
