Zydus Wellness has appointed Arijit Sengupta as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Sengupta brings over two decades of experience in global marketing and business strategy across major FMCG brands including Reckitt, Unilever and Colgate-Palmolive.
In his most recent role at Reckitt, Sengupta served as the Global Marketing Head for digital startups, where he led brand development and market expansion for Upspring, a wellness startup acquired by Reckitt. During his decade-long tenure at the company, he played a key role in expanding the brand into international markets and driving its P&L performance. His expertise in leading brand communication and positioning helped Upspring build a strong presence in the wellness industry.
Sengupta began his career as an Area Sales Manager at Colgate-Palmolive. He later joined Unilever, where he spent another 10 years, rising to the position of Regional Marketing Director for Fabric Care in Asia. At Unilever, he was instrumental in driving marketing strategies, product innovations and business growth across South and Southeast Asia. One of his contributions was advancing the use of fabric conditioners in India through targeted consumer education campaigns, helping to create and expand the category within the region.
