Uber Onboards Kristi Argyilan As Global Head Of Advertising

Kristi Argyilan, former Senior Vice President of Retail Media at Albertsons Companies, has been appointed as Uber's Global Head of Advertising.

She shared the news on her LinkedIn stating, “Thrilled to share my Uber journey begins today, as Global Head of Uber Advertising. Uber is a company that truly shows the world in action, generating a wealth of activity and buying signals. There's simply no other similar company that does what Uber can do, at a global scale.”

Uber launched its advertising business in 2022 and shared in August this year that the division had achieved an impressive annual net revenue run rate of $1 billion.

At Albertsons Companies, Argyilan spearheaded the expansion of its retail media offerings. She collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a strategic vision aligned with the company's goals and values. Argyilan also worked with external partners and stakeholders to build trust and transparency in the retail media ecosystem.

Argyilan’s career began at The Clorox Company as an Associate Manager for Media Development. She then advanced through roles at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and later served as EVP-General Manager at Hill Holliday. Her tenure at Universal McCann (UM) media agency saw her rise from Executive Vice President and Global Managing Partner to Chief Transformation Officer.

She has also held leadership roles at IPG Mediabrands, Target (Roundel) and Bed Bath & Beyond. Argyilan served as a board member and secretary for MMA Global and currently holds a board position at Zefr.
