A delegation of the News Broadcasters and Digital Association (NBDA) led by its President, Rajat Sharma, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
The delegation informed the Prime Minister regarding the health of the news broadcast industry, constraints, problems, and challenges faced in the era of digital revolution which was severely impacting and affecting the growth of the ‘News’ genre.
Present in the meeting was Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Information & Broadcasting.

Venkat, Director Eenadu Television, R Mahesh Kumar, Managing Director Sun TV Network, Varun Kohli COO, News Broadcasting Business Bennett Coleman and Annie Joseph, Secretary General, NBDA.
The news broadcasting industry is surrounded by major concerns including the challenges around the ratings system and the reporting of sensitive national issues.
The exchange could provide valuable insights into how these critical issues might be addressed and what future directions the media landscape might take.
The NBDA is one of the two major bodies representing broadcasters; the other one being NBF.
