IPG Mediabrands' Shashi Sinha To Receive The 'Distinguished Alumnus Award 2024' From IIT Kanpur

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur will present the 'Distinguished Alumnus Award 2024' to Shashi Sinha, CEO of IPG Mediabrands India. The Institute grants this award to its alumni to honour their accomplishments and efforts.

On November 2, 2024, the award ceremony will be held on the campus of IIT Kanpur. Sinha started his career with Parle as a product manager. He is also a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He founded the media buying and planning company Lodestar at the beginning of the 1990s.

In 2023, the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) presented Sinha with the AAAI Lifetime Achievement Award. His inspirational leadership and significant influence on the Indian advertising sector are honoured by this accolade.

Additionally, Sinha is actively involved in several industry organisations, including the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), the Technical Committee of the Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC), the Past President of The Ad Club, the Past Chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC), and the Current Chairman of the Readership Research Council of India (RSCI).
