Flipkart's Hari Kumar to join Swiggy as chief business officer: Reports
Hari Kumar, who served as the vice president - head of grocery at Flipkart, will join Swiggy Instamart as chief business office, according to reports. At Flipkart, Kumar led the business vision and execution for the grocery business across India.
Kumar, who holds an MBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, began his career at Cordys and went on to work across CSC and Network18.
His innings at Flipkart began in 2013. As the business head for the gift card business, Kumar identified the business and product capabilities required for creating a gift card product for the marketplace. He identified the target market and implemented strategies to address the same.
On August 5, Sairam Krishnamurthy was appointed as Swiggy Instamart's senior vice president & chief Operating officer. In this new role, Krishnamurthy would oversee Swiggy Instamart’s operating units, which include dark store operations, infrastructure operations, city growth and expansion.
Swiggy, which has been backed by Softbank is targeting a valuation of around $15 billion for its upcoming stock market offering to raise $1-1.2 billion, stated a Moneycontrol report.
Former Licious marketing head Santosh Hegde joins Atlys as head of marketing
Santosh Hegde, who led Licious as vice president - marketing, has joined a software development company Atlys as head of marketing.
Hegde, who holds an MBA from IIM, Kozhikode, began his career at Deloitte Consulting India and went on to work across Marico Limited and Hotstar.
Hegde navigated one of the most iconic Indian brands through heavy category headwinds, launched breakthrough innovations, spearheaded award-winning marketing campaigns, managed stakeholders within complex cross-functional setups, led large teams and currently owns the marketing mandate and revenue responsibility for India's 1st D2C Unicorn, stated his LinkedIn profile.
Parag Milk Foods COO Rahul Kumar Srivastava to lead sales operations
Rahul Kumar Srivastava, who serves as the chief operating officer at Parag Milk Foods will also lead the sales operations and the sales team will report to him.
Binod Das, who was previously the head of sales and was designated as senior management personnel, will no longer hold this position starting August 24. However, Das will continue to operate as head of sales under the guidance of Srivastava, according to an exchange filing.
Srivastava, who holds a degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Master's in business administration from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, began his career at Amul as the managing director. In this role, Srivastava headed a strong team of 1200 with multifaceted operations and managed milk powder, ice cream, cheese, chocolates, beverages, and cattle feed plants. He spearheaded various large-scale projects in India and abroad.
Then, he headed the India operations of Lactalis India as the MD and chief executive officer and managed three companies having pan India operations with a strong team of 6000.
