P&G Hygiene and Health Care appoints Mrinalini Srinivasan as CFO

Mrinalini Srinivasan, currently the Head of Corporate Finance at P&G India Group Companies, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer by P&G Hygiene and Health Care, where her role will be effective beginning June 1.

P&G Hygiene and Health Care houses brands such as Vicks, Whisper etc.

Srinivasan brings a diverse and rich experience in various finance roles across a career spanning sixteen years. She joined P&G in 2008 in India and has worked across three geographies – Singapore, India, and Dubai, leading transformational projects and delivering outstanding results for several important P&G businesses. An alumnus of FMS Delhi, she currently leads corporate finance and is also the Executive Sponsor of Gender Equality for P&G India group. Before this role, she was serving as the Senior Director, Sales Finance for P&G India.

Srinivasan is taking over the role from Prashant Bhatnagar, who will leave the company after approximately 28 years of service.

 

Licious's parent company Delightful Gourmet appoints Karishma Gupta as CFO

Delightful Gourmet, the parent company of Licious, has named Karishma Gupta as the Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Gupta was the VP - Finance at Jubilant FoodWorks.

In the next 24 months, as Licious is readying for an initial public offering, it is intensifying its talent acquisition endeavours, stated media reports. The company also plans to launch 500 Licious stores across 20 cities in the next five years. In her new role, as Licious enters into its pre-IPO phase, Gupta will establish governance frameworks, and foster sustainable growth and profitability.

Gupta began her career at Lodha & Co. and Chadha & Co. and went on to work across ITC, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Sentiss Pharma and Diageo India.

At Jubilant FoodWorks, Gupta turned around the financial performance of brands like Domino's, Dunkin, Hongs Kitchen, Popeyes in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. She drove PnL delivery and set unit economics for emerging brands to deliver sustainable expandable growth. She was responsible for financial modelling and approvals for expansion in India (2k+ stores) for all brands. She drove efficiency in operations costs for all brands across the three markets.

 

Priya Dogra joins Comcast-owned Sky as Chief Advertising and New Revenue Officer

Priya Dogra, who led Warner Bros Discovery as president and managing director, has joined Comcast-owned Sky as Chief Advertising and New Revenue Officer. Her new role will be effective beginning in June.

Dogra will report to Nick Herm, CBO and will be a key member of Sky's executive management committee.

She started her career at Citigroup as VP- Media and Telecom, Investment Banking.

Then, she began her career at Warner Media as Director - Mergers and Acquisitions. Over a period, she held various roles in different capacities.

 

mPokket appoints Sanjay Kar as Senior Vice President of Data & Analytics

mPokket has appointed Sanjay Kar as the Senior Vice President - Data & Analytics. This strategic move emphasises mPokket's commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies and data-driven solutions to drive innovation and growth in the fintech sector.

In his new role, Kar will spearhead the development and deployment of advanced analytics tools and data systems. His primary responsibilities include implementing sophisticated analytics strategies to manage risk effectively, enhancing operational efficiency and propelling quality business growth. Additionally, he will provide strategic guidance and leadership to mPokket's Data and Analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and precision.

Kar  brings over 16 years of valuable experience in the banking domain, with a strong focus on risk management, credit policy, predictive modelling and digital lending. His notable tenure includes impactful roles at major financial institutions such as CitiGroup, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Paytm and Equifax.

PayPal makes senior-level appointments

PayPal, the US-based payments company, is launching an advertising sales division leveraging its extensive user data. To spearhead this initiative, the company has appointed Mark Grether, the former Vice President and General Manager of Uber Advertising.

During his tenure at Uber, Grether successfully expanded the business to a $1 billion enterprise with a global advertiser base exceeding 5,00,000.

The new ad network by PayPal will utilise insights from user purchases and broader spending patterns gathered from the millions of individuals using PayPal and Venmo, as announced by the company.

The company mentioned in a statement, "PayPal's long-standing relationships with millions of consumers and merchants make the company uniquely positioned to create an advertising platform that is rooted in commerce. Grether will join the company to build an advertising business that will help make merchants smarter to sell more products and services effectively, as well as enable consumers to discover more of what they love.” 

The advertising division, which will feature the PayPal Advanced Offers platform, aims to leverage customer insights to create a dynamic, highly personalized experience. This approach is designed to enhance advertising spend efficiency for merchants while providing consumers with attractive offers.

Additionally, PayPal has appointed John Anderson as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Group. Anderson will be responsible for overseeing PayPal's consumer business and developing product strategies for both PayPal and Venmo on a global scale. Previously, he served as the Head of Product and Payments at Plaid and spent 10 years at Meta in various product and leadership positions.

 

Nothing India onboards Vishal Bhola as President

Nothing has roped in Vishal Bhola as the new president of its India business. Bhola brings over two decades of experience from Unilever, where he held significant roles starting in India and extending across Southeast Asia, the USA, Africa, China, and the company's global headquarters in London.

In his new role, Bhola will apply his extensive expertise in consumer technology and strategic business management.

Bhola's career spans over two decades at Unilever, where he held various key positions, beginning in India and expanding his influence across Southeast Asia, the USA, Africa, China, and the global headquarters in London. Following his time at Unilever, Bhola joined Whirlpool as Managing Director, where he was responsible for driving profitability and growth across the Indian subcontinent for Whirlpool Corporation.
