NetApp appoints Ganesan Arumugam as APAC senior director

NetApp has named Ganesan Arumugam as its senior director for APAC channel sales & alliances.

Arumugam will coordinate with both global and regional market leaders to develop and execute NetApp's channel strategy throughout Asia Pacific. In his new position, he is tasked with enhancing the capabilities and skillsets of the technical communities within the Partner Organization 

As the APAC representative for NetApp's Worldwide Partner Organisation (WPO), Arumugam will oversee the expansion of the company's Partner Sphere program, which is designed to promote the adoption of unified data storage, integrated data services, and CloudOps solutions.

Andrew Sotiropoulos, senior vice president and general manager for NetApp Asia Pacific comments, “Our channels and partner ecosystem remains the foundation for our Go-to-Market strategy and overall growth for APAC. Previously as our India Channel lead, Ganesan played a key role in building up a strong and reliable ecosystem made up of NetApp-managed and Distributor-managed partners,  that extended well across the market and delivered consistent revenue growth. He will now step up to the APAC region and I am confident he will replicate his success here.”

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Arumugam shares, “We have on board the best partners that can bring NetApp's intelligent data management solutions to the market. Arumugam brings nearly 30 years of experience in the technology sector, having managed channels and sales with renowned global enterprises such as Symantec, VMware, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM and Novell. He will report directly to Andrew Sotiropoulos and will be stationed in Singapore.


DDB Mudra appoints Priya Shivakumar as creative head-South

DDB Mudra has appointed Priya Shivakumar, as its new creative head for the South region. Shivakumar will collaborate closely with Rahul Mathew, chief creative officer, DDB Mudra Group and share leadership with Menaka Menon, president – growth and strategy, DDB Mudra.

Shivakumar joins DDB Mudra from Wunderman Thompson, where she advanced from ECD of Chennai to chief creative officer (South), bringing extensive experience to her new role.

Speaking on her new role, Shivakumar says, "I'm thrilled to join DDB Mudra and contribute to the legacy of creating culturally resonant brands," Priya said. “These are exciting times where you can take storytelling to new and unexpected places…through technology, craft or experience. I'm looking forward to leveraging the power of emotions in my work, driving choices, creating conversations, shaping markets, and rewriting brand stories."

Meanwhile, Rahul Mathew comments, “We have been evolving our offering in the South to go beyond national campaigns and offer specialised expertise for the five south markets. And we believe what will make our solutions even more effective is our creativity. Priya will play a critical role in us achieving this vision for the South office. She has the unique ability to capture local and cultural nuances and execute them to international standards. I’m excited to have her partner us in our journey.”

 

Anil Jayaraj joins Jio Home Digital Services as president

Anil Jayaraj joins Jio Home Digital Services as president. Prior to this role, he served as chief executive officer at Viacom 18 Media for 3 years.

Jayaraj has over 2 decades of experience in sales and marketing. He started his career in 1997 as a marketing manager for Castrol.

In his career, he has worked with organisations like BP, Pidilite Industries, and Star TV Network.
