Industry reports suggest that Deepika Warrier, who joined Bajaj Auto in August 2023 as its head of marketing, has left her role. President-marketing Sumeet Narang, who oversaw Bajaj Auto as president and BU head-probiking, has been promoted to her place.

According to a media rumour, Narang would oversee the whole local industry. His portfolio will comprise EV, Chetak, motorcycles, three-wheelers, and probiking.

Warrier oversaw Diageo India as chief marketing officer before joining Bajaj Auto.

Warrier worked with Pepsico for 20 years, during which time she played a key role in advancing resource allocation, innovation, and brand equity enhancement for a variety of beverages, including juice-based drinks. Warrier was NourishCo Beverages' MD and CEO.

She also served as vice president of PepsiCo India's nutrition division and vice president of PepsiCo AMENA (Asia, Middle East, and North Africa), both of which were headquartered in Dubai. As the Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo India, she oversaw a portfolio of more than a hundred brands, including Lay's, Kurkure, Quaker Oats, Pepsi, and Mountain Dew.

Additionally, Warrier has collaborated with businesses like Britannia Industries, Gillette, and Ogilvy and Mather.

Warrier graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women with a bachelor's degree in history and from Indian Institute of Management with a master's degree in business administration with a marketing concentration.

Narang started his career at Gillette India, a P&G company. He later worked for Samsung Electronics, Aircel Telecom, and Coca-Cola India.
