Shalu Zala joins HSBC as VP, Marketing Strategy & Social Media

Strategic brand marketing and communications professional, Shalu Zala has joined HSBC as its Vice President for Marketing Strategy and Social Media. She confirmed the same through a LinkedIn post.

“I'm delighted to announce my new adventure as Vice President - Marketing Strategy & Social Media at HSBC ! From leading brand triumphs at telecommunications to diving into the dynamic world of banking, this journey promises to be an exciting one,” she wrote.

Zala has over 15 years of experience across a broad range of marketing disciplines in retail, telecommunication, lifestyle & FMCG industry segments.

In her last role, she headed brand and marcom – enterprise, for Vodafone Idea. Prior to that, she was Chief Brand and Marketing Manager at Reliance Retail.

She’s also held various leadership roles at companies such as Trent Hypermarket, Welspun, Animation International India and Reliance Digital Retail.
 

Karan Rajpal joins LTIMindtree as senior director of marketing

Karan Rajpal has joined LTIMindtree as the Senior Director of Marketing. Rajpal was earlier the Head of Marketing at Enablex. In his new role, he will be responsible for iNXT, a digital transformation platform delivering an ecosystem of connected, intelligent, and sustainable solutions at the company.

He will also be responsible for marketing outcomes for LTIMindtree's delivery units, delivering outcomes across retention, strategic goals and client experiences.

Rajpal confirmed the development on social media.

He has also worked with brands like Dalmia and HCL Tech.

 

Gupshup adds Lorrie Norrington to its Board of Directors

Gupshup has added tech veteran Lorrie Norrington to its Board of Directors. Norrington brings extensive tech expertise and a proven track record of over four decades in scaling global technology and internet businesses, to Gupshup.

Norrington currently serves on the boards of the global multinational Colgate-Palmolive, and SaaS companies Hubspot and Asana, among others. She previously served in senior executive roles at eBay, including as President of Ebay International. These are all highly relevant and valuable experiences for a global SaaS company like Gupshup on its private-to-public journey. Her commitment to strong values and integrity aligns well with Gupshup’s goal of building world-class governance structures. 

She also serves as an Operating Partner at Lead Edge Capital, where she advises late-stage high-growth companies. Before joining Lead Edge in 2012, Norrington held senior leadership roles at eBay, Shopping.com, Intuit, and General Electric Company. Norrington received her B.S. from the University of Maryland and M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
