The Q Appoints Simran Hoon As India CEO
The Q has appointed Simran Hoon as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. In her new role, Simran will leverage her experience and insight to provide strategic direction to create new opportunities for The Q in India thus driving the organization’s overall growth.
Simran brings to The Q over two decades of industry experience. Prior to joining The Q, she was associated with Viacom18 as Executive Vice-President and Head of Ad Sales. She has also been a part of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Star India and Sony Entertainment Television in leadership positions.

Our growth in India has been exponential and we are confident that Simran, with her keen business acumen and in-depth understanding of the industry, will immediately propel The Q forward. Martin Uhlarik Named Global Design Head At Tata Motors
Tata Motors has onboarded Martin Uhlarik as the new Global Design Head of the company. Uhlarik was till recently Head of Design for Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC) and takes over his new role from Pratap Bose who has chosen to pursue opportunities outside the company.
Over the course of his 27-year career, Uhlarik has been involved in the design of successful nameplates with leading global OEMs. Since joining Tata Motors in 2016 as Head of Design, UK, he has led the development of the Impact 3 generation of vehicles.

Uhlarik will continue to operate from TMETC in the UK. He will lead teams in the three Tata Motors Design centres in Coventry (UK), Turin (Italy) and Pune (India). He will report into Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors. Mr Uhlarik has a degree in Industrial Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto, Canada in 1993 and a degree in Transportation Design from Art Center College of Design in Vevey, Switzerland in 1994.
Peeyush Bachlaus Quits Kansai Nerolac Paints
Peeyush Bachlaus – Head of Marketing – Kansai Nerolac Paints has put in his papers after a stint of over five years at the leading paint company. His next professional move has yet to be disclosed.
During his stint at Kansai Nerolac, Bachlaus led the corporate identity restage and spearheaded initiatives such as the innovative display of shades on mumbai airport belt, the multi lingual consumer app & website and the innovative decor ideas with Colourtrails. He worked on popular campaigns with Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh as brand ambassadors and worked on the category launch for the company’s foray into adhesives under the brand name Nerofix. He also led Nerolac Breathing City, an endeavour to beautify urban spaces with innovative ideas and unique concepts. This community outreach initiative aimed to promote conversations about the need for better urban spaces, living conditions and public health and saw art installation in Vishakhapatnam and Chandigarh.
He joined Kansai Nerolac from Usha International where he was Marketing Head – Rural Business & Power Products. Bachlaus has had stints across multiple sectors, such as automobile, telecom & FMCG, and worked with brands such as Aircel, Wrigley India, Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra.
