Creating Leaders For The Metaverse

Revolutionary ideas are always followed by doubt and disbelief. Electricity and the internet metamorphosed the world, now the Metaverse is set to do it one more time. In these times, it is crucial to identify and prepare the right leaders who can lead this change. 

Sudhakar Rao, Director, ICFAI Group speaks about the necessary traits in leaders for the Metaverse and the role and responsibilities of Business Schools during this phase.

Rao states, "Beyond functionality, the ability to suspend your disbelief at one level and to follow a leadership model between the 'Architect' & the 'Gardener' on another will benefit future leaders." He further explains that the 'Architect' has a goal in mind and will work methodically to create that vision. The 'Gardener' needs to see the changes the architect makes and be able to adapt and execute the plans. 

He then adds that there is no benchmark, therefore these traits will allow leaders to move in the right direction with the Metaverse, among others.
