HDFC Ergo General Insurance elevates Anuj Tyagi as MD & CEO

HDFC Ergo General Insurance has appointed Anuj Tyagi as its new Managing Director and CEO, effective from 1 July 2024. Tyagi will succeed Ritesh Kumar, who will step down after a 16-year tenure at the helm.  This is in line with the intimation to the stock exchange made earlier this year on 13 January 2024, regarding leadership change as approved by the Board. 

Tyagi has been with the company since 2008 and has held various positions during his tenure and was elevated to Joint Managing Director in April 2023. 

Kumar will join the Board of Management of Ergo International from 4 October 2024 onwards and as the new Deputy COO of the entity, will focus on the Asian growth markets, such as China, Thailand and Singapore. This appointment is subject to administrative approvals and consent of the Supervisory Board of Ergo International.

Keki M Mistry, Chairman of the Board, said, “Anuj has worked closely with Ritesh over these 16 years and has played an important role in reshaping HDFC ERGO into a large tech-first industry leader.”

With a career spanning over 25 years in banking and insurance, Tyagi brings extensive experience across sales channels, reinsurance, underwriting, claims, technology, and human resources to his new role.

Manesh Swamy elevated to MD & CCO at LS Digital Creative

Manesh Swamy has been elevated to Managing Director & Chief Creative Officer at LS Creative at LS Digital Group. He confirmed the news on LinkedIn. Swamy has been associated with the company for over four years now.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Managing Director & Chief Creative Officer - LS Creative at LS Digital Group!”, his LinkedIn post reads.

Prior to this, Swamy held the position of Chief Creative Officer (CCO) & Senior Vice President at the company.

He has over two decades of experience in managing brands across sectors and has a strong digital orientation. He has helped teams design award-winning creative campaigns for various brands and has been instrumental in creating innovative brand experiences.

In his previous stints, Swamy has worked with Hungama Digital Services for over 8 years and with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment for over seven years.
