Zomato’s Gunjan Soni Steps Down As Independent Director
Soni resigned from her role due to increased professional commitments
Gunjan Soni, previously serving as an independent director at Zomato has resigned due to increased professional commitments.
According to a filing with the BSE, she will no longer be part of the company’s risk management and corporate social responsibility committees.
Soni has an MBA in finance from XLRI Jamshedpur. She began her career with Infosys Technologies and subsequently held roles at McKinsey & Company, Star India, Myntra and Zalora Group.
During her tenure as CEO of Zalora Group, Soni established key strategic priorities to strengthen the company's leadership in fashion ecommerce across Southeast Asia. As CMO of Myntra, she led crucial marketing strategies, driving innovations that aligned brand offerings with customer needs through creative approaches.
