ZEE5 Global Introduces ‘Add-ons’, Partners With Multiple OTT Leaders To Boost Its US Subscription

ZEE5 Global, a video streaming platform for South Asian content operating in over 190 countries has introduced its ‘Add-ons’ service in the US, a move to aggregate multiple South Asian streaming platforms within its application.

The company said its US partnership with leading South Asian streaming platforms will offer Add-ons starting from USD 1.49 onwards. Currently, the platform offers its service in South (all South Indian languages), Chaupal (Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi), Namma Flix (Kannada), istream (Malayalam) and EPIC ON (Hindi).

As a first Zee5 Global, Gujarati content will be available on the platform to delight the huge Gujarati-speaking diaspora in the US, the company added.

Furthermore, it underlined that Zee5 Global Add-ons will also be offering a catalogue of over 250,000 hours of movies, TV shows and originals across languages.

Addressing the company’s objective Amit Goenka President – Digital Businesses and Platforms at Zee Entertainment said, “We aim to unite the entertainment ecosystem for the discerning viewers to build a robust monetisation opportunity for multiple players in the global markets.”

On the similar lines Archana Anand, Chief Business Officer at Zee5 Global said, “As the foremost South Asian streaming platform in the US, Zee5 Global has played a crucial role in connecting the South Asian diaspora with their cultural roots.”

She emphasised building on our leadership, the natural progression was to evolve into the premier aggregator for South Asian entertainment and to help address challenges such as content and consumer fragmentation, empowering subscribers to effortlessly access their preferred content at one destination.

Anand also underlined Zee5 Global will be soon launching a massive campaign against global piracy offering a logical and legitimate option for consumers tempted by the content variety and low costs offered by the pirated platforms.
