Paytm, HPCL Partner To Transform DriveTrack Plus Loyalty Program & Fuel Payments

Paytm's parent company, One97 Communications Limited (OCL) joined forces with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to advance the technology behind its DriveTrack (DT) Plus loyalty program and payment solution.

We are happy to partner with HPCL to reform the DriveTrack Plus program that will enable fleet owners and operators with cashless transactions, thus driving the digital transformation in India. We are constantly coming up with technology-led innovations to ensure convenience for both businesses and customers.”

In this partnership, Paytm will supply the technology for HPCL's loyalty program, benefiting fleet owners in India. Paytm has created the DriveTrack Plus system specifically for HPCL and has introduced several mobile applications to streamline DriveTrack Plus transactions. This alliance is set to empower more than one million customers nationwide, allowing transporters and businesses to digitise their logistics operations. This will enable in enhanced supply chain management by facilitating cashless fuel transactions, simplifying accounting processes, and providing convenient fuel consumption management for their fleets.

Sandeep Maheshwari, Executive Director - Retail of HPCL said, “HPCL was amongst the first oil companies in the country to introduce cashless payment systems way back in 2001. The card was a prepaid card where retail customers were rewarded for their purchases and were provided with quarterly statements of their purchases. DriveTrack fleet card was introduced in the year 2003 for fleet operators. In February 2010, DriveTrack card program was upgraded to DriveTrack Plus program by adding various value-added services. HPCL has now partnered with One97 Communications Limited (OCL) to rebuild the existing DiveTrack Plus program afresh, from scratch, with improved technology and infrastructure on a completely new and improved platform. The new program is loaded with many customer-centric features most of which are first among the industry, such as 100% Android terminals, the latest technology stack, the latest SQL database, merchant app/customer app/driver app, multiple Payment Gateways, direct UPI transactions, QR/mobile-based transactions, and faster terminal/website applications.

We hope that this advanced DriveTrack Plus program with loaded features will be a big hit with customers and ensure fast-tracking of digital transactions at HPCL Retail Outlets.”

Furthermore, Paytm will install Paytm Card machines at HPCL fuel stations throughout India and distribute DT Plus loyalty cards, which can be utilised for secure fuel transactions. These prepaid cards also offer the option for businesses to secure insurance coverage for their fleet personnel.
