One Bronze SDG Lion Each To Leo Burnett, McCann

The 'Dabba Savings Account' and 'Drops of Joy' campaigns make the cut in this category

In the final set of Lions, both McCann and Leo Burnett won a Bronze Lion each in Sustainability Development Goals (SDG).

McCann's 'Dabba Savings Account' for ESAF Saving Banks Account and Leo Burnett's 'Drops of Joy' for Lay's were the winning entries.

On the win, Prasoon Joshi, McCann Worldgroup India’s CEO & CCO and Chairman of McCann Asia Pacific says, "While we are the winners in SDG, we were also shortlisted for the Glass Lions. The 'Dabba Savings Account' is a campaign that supports women's empowerment. We used the existing cultural ethos and connected with that. By empowering rural women, we made them a part of the big banking revolution in India. Hopefully, this campaign, which leveraged the right technology and design, will inspire more people to find better solutions."

Rajdeepak Das, CCO Publicis Groupe-South Asia and Chairman, Leo Burnett-South Asia also expresses, “We have been winning in SDG for the last three years. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that SDG is in our DNA. We live and breathe it, even at our agency offices, in terms of the SDG posters that we have on our walls. It is important to realise that SDG is not an overnight solution. It is a long-term solution for the planet and its people, along with doing the business right."

Das also adds, "The brands that we work for have SDG at their core- better living, education, climate change, etc. We are glad we won for one of the biggest brands this year. The win is definitely big for us and Lay’s.

Gustavo Lauria, Co-founder, President and Chief Creative Officer, We Believers, USA was presiding over the Sustainability Development Goals Lions.
