Indian Entries Shines On Gerety Awards Global Shortlist

The Gerety Awards unveiled the global shortlist along with the agency and production company of the year titles by country.

Shortlisted entries from India include 'Chhoti Soch?' for Urban Company by Superfly Films in the Work for Good CUT; 'Dohale Jevan Poshanchi Vaati | Quaker' for Quaker Oats by Chrome Pictures Mumbai in the Craft CUT; 'Unbanning Sex Education' for Durex by VML Mumbai in the Health and Work for Good CUT and 'HomeTeams #ShareTheLoad' for Ariel India by BBDO India in the Work for Good CUT.

Global judging sessions were held and this week the jury insight panels will be live from the UK, USA, Poland, Canada, France, AUNZ, East Asia, LATAM, Spain, Netherlands, Middle East and Belgium.

A total of 394 entries from 35 countries have been shortlisted. The most shortlisted category is the Work for Good Cut with 93 entries, followed by Craft with 86 entries. Among the most shortlisted campaigns across multiple categories are 'Rights against the Right - The first trademark that stops trading Nazi merch' for Laut gegen Nazis by Jung von Matt AG, Hamburg; 'Anti-Choice Ads' for Wisp x Abortion Freedom Fund by 72andSunny Los Angeles; 'The Square Meter' for HORNBACH by HeimatTBWA\ Germany Berlin; and 'A Holiday To Remember' for Chevrolet by Commonwealth//McCann Detroit. Jung von Matt AG, Hamburg is the most shortlisted agency while VML, with entries from 12 different countries is the most shortlisted network. The most shortlisted holding company is Omnicom, followed by IPG and WPP.

The Grand Jury will select the final winners, who will be revealed on Tuesday, September 3. Awards will include Bronze, Silver, Gold and Grand Prix, as well as the overall Network and Agency of the Year winners.

The 2024 winners for Agency and Production Company of the Year by country have been unveiled. Dentsu Inc has been named East Asian Agency of the Year, while BETC takes the title in France and Jung von Matt AG, Hamburg in Germany. 
Sioux & Cyranos is the Spanish Agency of the Year, Impact BBDO wins for the Middle East, Adam&EveDDB for the UK and Dentsu Creative for the USA. 
In the production company category, Finch is recognised as AUNZ Production Company of the Year, Czar in Belgium, Papaya Films in Poland, Bambina Films in Spain and Biscuit Filmworks in both the UK and USA.
