Former P&G exec Priyali Kamath joins Imperial Brands PLC as president

Priyali Kamath, who led P&G as senior vice president - skin and personal care, has joined Imperial Brands PLC as president.

Kamath began her career at P&G as a human resources manager and over a period held various roles in different capacities.

As the brand director of feminine care, Kamath led the marketing program for P&G's Whisper business, including developing a profitable launch model for affordable protection. The affordable protection program propelled Whisper India to record share, and accelerated category development in both urban and rural India.

She developed an award-winning campaign on Feminine protection that challenged the taboos around talking about the category overtly and brought sanitary protection to the front of the store.

As the senior marketing director - Media, Asean, Australasia, India, Japan & Korea, Kamath led the media and digital strategies for P&G Asia (the largest advertiser in the world). Created a new methodology for revenue-based planning, to step-change media ROI, accelerate the adoption of digital and harness big data for sharper targeting and re-targeting.

She restructured agency solutions to deliver effective planning, ahead of creative asset development. She owned critical agency relationships and JBPs with significant digital partners.

 

Protean eGov Technologies elevates Gaurav Ramdev to chief growth & marketing officer

Gaurav Ramdev, who led Protean eGov Technologies as chief marketing officer, has been elevated to the position of chief growth and marketing officer.

Ramdev will continue to be the brand steward and will take additional charge as Growth owner for D2C P&L across B2C, B2B, B2B2C and digital partnerships.

He states, "The Chief Growth & Marketing Officer role expands the ambit of the Marketing function and brings in growth as an additional pillar, assigning direct P&L responsibility, aligning with the growth imperatives of Protean."

As the CMO, Ramdev ran all marketing functions - brand marketing, digital marketing, performance marketing, content marketing, product marketing, corp-comm and PR functions.

Ramdev began his career at Satyam Computers Services as a software engineer - in geographic information systems, and went on to work across ITC, Orkla Group, Britannia Industries, The Coca-Cola Company, and Razorpay.

 

Swiss Beauty onboards Vidushi Goyal as CMO

Swiss Beauty has named Vidushi Goyal as its chief marketing mfficer(CMO). She will lead the overall marketing strategy for all Swiss Beauty brands, including Swiss Beauty Craze and Swiss Beauty Select, along with its emerging categories and sub-brands.

Goyal brings a wealth of experience in digital-first marketing and brand building to Swiss Beauty. She will spearhead the brand's growth by establishing a unique identity and building differentiation in the fast-paced beauty & personal care segment. Her focus will be on staying ahead of trends and implementing new-age marketing strategies within the company.

Before joining Swiss Beauty, Goyal served as vice president of marketing at Mamaearth (Honasa), where she led the marketing efforts for the personal care and baby care portfolio. She has also held key positions at ShopClues, d.light Energy, and FCB+Ulka, where she led multiple award-winning brand campaigns.

Goyal comments on her appointment, "I am thrilled to join Swiss Beauty at such an exciting time. My focus will be on building on what has worked for the brand while evolving and differentiating in this cluttered market space. We will keep the consumer and market segment at the core of everything we do.
