There’s no denying that the reverberations of the novel corona virus are being felt in all areas, whether personal or professional. But as they say- when the going gets tough, the tough gets going!
It is this simple insight that lies behind the success of Raabta - a short 3 minute produced by Full Circle Shorts - a part of Full Circle Communication LLP - that celebrates this special bond between lifelong mates.
ADK Fortune, a WPP company and part of Wunderman Thompson South Asia Group, partnered with the team of Fullcircle shorts to bring this message of hope and positivity.
Directed by Gautam Vaze national award winner (for short film Aai shapath produced by Anand Wagle founder - Exexutive producer Full Circle Communication LLP) and written by Nakul Sharma Executive CD and VP ADK Fortune, Raabta has been a labour of love and a project driven by sheer passion.
Despite heavy odds, the production house and the director managed to coordinate a remote shoot between two locations and three actors.
Speaking about the whole process from the beginning to the end, Nakul Sharma said “Anand was convinced he wanted to make a positive film. He was sure the narrative had to be changed. It struck a chord with us at ADK Fortune. A few days later one had the idea of using the idea of Tambola and wrote a script around old friends. Once we all locked on it, Gautam gave his heart and soul to it. And took it to another level with his sensitive and mature handling of a serious subject."
The fantastic reception and heartfelt messages just proves that a short film can also go a long way in making a statement.
What creates a greater impact is its cast- the national award-winning actor Arundhati Nag, theatre stalwart Neena Kulkarni, along with Aayushi Lahir, who managed to prove their acting competency in these three minutes. The minimalistic approach, wrapped around their powerful screen presence, subtly delivers the right communication message.
It’s thumbs up for me!!
