For Ghadi Detergent revolved around a common practice of keeping your home clean but not being bothered about the dirt and filth in your surroundings & neighborhood. The film opens on a man cleaning his house and throwing the trash outside. He then dozes off. In his dream he sees Goddess Laxmiji who makes him realize the true meaning of cleanliness. That cleanliness is just not about clean homes, but also keeping your streets & neighborhood clean .

Cleanliness can’t be an act on a special day. It has to be a way of life. We have cleanliness as part of our tradition. But we have forgotten that. How we think and behave with regard to cleanliness shows our character. The film shows the mindset, and the nuances of this character. And we made it lighthearted and enjoyable so that a serious issue like this can engage people effectively.”
