The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), the nation's premier sporting event, is back after a three-year break due to the pandemic with a new and revamped season, CCL Reloaded.
CCL was the first attempt to unite all Indian celebrities on one platform when it began ten years ago, and this season is no different. Cricket matches between 8 teams from 8 states will be played for the coveted CCL trophy.
This season will feature teams from 8 different parts of the country, giving the league a pan-India presence. 19 games will be played across 6 cities, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Chennai, Cochin, and Raipur.
The coveted CCL Cup will be up for grabs between the following teams: Mumbai Heroes, Chennai Rhinos, Telugu Warriors, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Kerala Strikers, Bengal Tigers, Karnataka Bulldozers, and Punjab De Sher are just a few of the teams in the league.
This season is expected to generate a lot of excitement for viewers, with over 150 celebrities and influencers directly and indirectly connected with the league. Previous seasons have seen stadiums in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai get full attendance, and the current trend suggests that similar crowds are expected in other centers.
Parle has been roped in as the title sponsor, with more sponsors expected to join in the next few days. In addition to the title sponsor, the league will have one presenting sponsor, two "powered-by sponsors, and six "associate" sponsors.
The event will be telecast live and exclusively across the ZEE TV network on seven different channels.
"We are thrilled to partner with CCL and provide fans with the excitement and entertainment they have been missing," said Rahul Johri, Broadcaster. "This season will be bigger and better than ever, with a new format and a wide range of talented players and celebrities participating."
Mayank Shah, the Sponsor, said, "CCL has always been a platform that brings together sports and entertainment, we have been associated with it for the last 10 years, and we can't wait to see what this season has in store."
"CCL has been a pioneer in sportainment in India, and we are proud to bring it back for our fans," said Vishnu Induri, League Owner. "This season is a testament to our commitment to providing the best possible experience for fans and players alike."
