Sharat Sinha, formerly President of Asia-Pacific and Japan at Check Point Software Technologies, has been roped in as the CEO of Airtel Business by Bharti Airtel. Sinha will report to Gopal Vittal and will be a part of the Airtel management board, effective 3 June.
In June 2023, Ajay Chitkara stepped down as CEO of Airtel Business, Bharti Airtel's enterprise arm. Subsequently, Bharti Airtel restructured the leadership of Airtel Business into three segments: Global business, led by Vani Venkatesh; Domestic business, led by Ganesh Lakshminarayanan; and Nxtra Data Centers, led by Ashish Arora, according to a media report.
Sinha began his career at VSNL and has since held positions at Ericsson, Cisco, Tellabs, Palo Alto Networks, VMware, and Riverwood Capital. As President of Check Point Asia Pacific, Sinha focused on protecting businesses in the region from evolving cyber threats.
