At the National Learning Week 2024 prize distribution ceremony and the opening of the iGOT lab and learning centre, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan noted that the Ministry held three webinars on social media use, the evolution of film viewing, and improving photography skills.
Dr. L. Murugan advised the Ministry to actively integrate AI technologies in the workplace to increase productivity, in keeping with the Prime Minister's aim of using AI to move the "Aspirational India" agenda.
To increase productivity and lessen the strain of repeated work, the Minister encouraged the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini. Civil servants may concentrate on high-impact areas of governance with AI-powered data-driven decision-making, he continued, guaranteeing improved service delivery and innovation inside their departments.
He went on to emphasise the initiative's importance in improving the abilities and proficiencies of more than three million central public officers and guaranteeing that over 22 million state-level civil servants and five million Urban Local Body (ULB) officials have access to ongoing education.
Senior Ministry officials, top performers, and Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, and Neerja Shekhar, Special Secretary, were also in attendance.
