Unilever confirmed the consolidation of creative and strategic duties for its global beauty brands with WPP. Previously managing key brands like Dove and Vaseline through Ogilvy, WPP will now also handle Tresemme, Sunsilk, Simple, Nexxus, Shea Moisture, Clear and Ponds. These brands were formerly managed by Interpublic Group, Omnicom Group and Oliver across various regions.
WPP recently reported a 9.1 per cent like-for-like (LFL) growth in India for Q2 2024, following an 8.1 per cent increase in H1. However, the overall performance in the rest of the world for H1 2024 showed a decline, as strong growth in India was counterbalanced by a 20.3 per cent drop in China. This decline in China was attributed to the loss of client assignments and ongoing macroeconomic challenges affecting both WPP's media and creative businesses.
