TV Today Network Records Decline Of 58% N.P. In Q2

The Quarter 2 results of TV Today Network has reported a decline of 6.35 per cent in the revenue at INR 211.63 crores, as compared to the same quarter of the previous year at INR 225.99.

TV Today Network broadcasts 24-hour news channels that include Aaj Tak, Good News Today and Aaj Tak HD in Hindi; while India Today Television is in English. It also runs a radio station (Ishq 104.8 FM) in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. 

The digital business comprises Aaj Tak and India Today websites along with various social media and popular online video channels.

Total income has fallen 7 per cent to INR 223.43 crore from INR 240.31 crore. Expenses have jumped 11 per cent to INR 196.52 crore from  INR 177.18 crore on the back 13 per cent increase in employee benefits expense to INR 82.04 crore from INR 72.74 crore.

Net profit has declined to INR 19.72 crore, a 58 per cent drop from INR 46.98 crore in the previous fiscal.

In the last fiscal year, the company's net profit was recorded at INR 182 crore on revenue of INR 930 crore, against INR 132 crore and INR 783 crore, respectively, for the corresponding period previous fiscal.
