The Tata Group is set to make its entry into the quick commerce arena with Neu Flash, an extension of its ecommerce platform Tata Neu, as per media reports. This move aims to rival established players such as Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, which currently dominate the ultra-fast delivery segment.
According to media reports, Tata becomes the latest contender in the quick commerce space, following in the footsteps of Flipkart and Reliance Industries. Neu Flash is expected to be rolled out to select users, allowing them to shop across various categories, including groceries, electronics, and fashion, in the coming weeks.
As per media reports, Neu Flash will be powered by BigBasket for grocery deliveries, while electronics will be handled by Croma, and fashion and lifestyle products will be managed through Tata Cliq. This strategic approach is designed to leverage existing Tata brands for efficient service.
Tata's entry into the market comes on the heels of Flipkart’s launch of its own quick commerce service, ‘Minutes,’ and Reliance JioMart's renewed testing of a quick delivery service after previously halting its 90-minute delivery under JioMart. According to industry analysts, Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto collectively hold around 85% of the quick commerce market, indicating a highly competitive landscape.
Furthermore, Tata's e-pharmacy venture, 1mg, which already delivers medicines within hours in select regions of Delhi-NCR, is expected to fully integrate into the Neu Flash platform, as per media reports.
