Sushant Sreeram Exits Prime Video To Join JioCinema As CMO

Sushant Sreeram has stepped down from his role as Prime Video India's Country Director and is expected to join Viacom18's JioCinema as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), according to industry sources.

Sreeram's departure marks the end of a 6.5-year tenure with Amazon. His journey at Prime Video began in 2018 when he joined as Head of Customer and Brand Marketing. He later was elevated to becoming Director of Marketing in October 2020 and later Director of Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) Business in 2022.

In a promotion last year, Sreeram was appointed as Prime Video India's country director in February 2023. The move followed Gaurav Gandhi's elevation to the position of Vice President of Asia Pacific at Prime Video, which took effect in April.

Before his stint at Amazon, Sreeram's career includes roles at companies such as Xiaomi, HolidayIQ.com, eBay and Hindustan Unilever (HUL).
