The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has permitted Tata Consumer Products (TCPL) to merge its fully owned subsidiaries, Tata Consumer Soulfull, NourishCo Beverages, and Tata SmartFoodz with TCPL. This is consistent with the company's goal of streamlining and simplifying operations. This legal entity structure consolidation will create synergies and efficiencies.
According to the company, these business divisions' operational structures have not changed, and they will continue to concentrate on their three product portfolios: millet-based goods, ready-to-drink goods, and ready-to-cook/ready-to-eat goods. It further stated that Tata Consumer Products' growth operations include these product portfolios.
Sunil D’Souza, MD & CEO, Tata Consumer Products said, "We have been reorganising our business in line with our strategic priorities - to unlock synergies and create a future-ready organisation. This merger is one more step towards building a simplified and agile business. It will enable administrative and financial synergies."
He went on to say that keeping these companies' current operating structures will guarantee consistency and keep their attention on the expansion plan.
